Purpose of the Girl Scout Organization

Provide a positive environment for young girls to make new friends, learn new things, find out what is important to them, promote self-esteem, learn about our community and country, and have fun!

Overview:

• The Troops meet once per month after school at the Scout Cabin on the  Corpus Christi property.
•  
  The girls earn patches for their uniforms by participating in activities, learning new things and visiting various places in the community.

• Each meeting focuses on a different theme, has hands-on-activities (such as arts and crafts, nature activites and science projects), history and community awareness, and other learning opportunities.

• There are activites we also do in the community, such as park outings and visits to local attractions and businesses.

• The girls also have the opportunity to participate in Girl Scout-sponsored activities of our local council:  Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana (GSSI).

  We always welcome and encourage any parent involvement!
