Corpus Christi Education Commission 2011-12 The Education Commission meets on the second Tuesday of each month and its members serve in an advisory and supportive role for the school and its faculty. If you have a question, concern or suggestion about Corpus Christi School, please feel free to contact any of the members listed below. Todd M. Loehr (Chair) - Todd and his wife Julie have been members of Corpus Christi for 15 years. They have two daughters; Nicole, a sophomore at Mater Dei, and Erin, an eighth grader at Corpus Christi. Todd is a member of Corpus Christi Men’s Club, serves on a Parish grounds crew team and is a member of the Knights of Columbus local 565. He is currently serving as the Chairperson for the Education Commission. Todd, a degreed chemical engineer, is employed by SABIC Innovative Plastics and is a Staff Scientist in their Technology and Innovation group. Marty Craig (Principal) - Mrs. Craig has served as Corpus Christi’s principal for 11 years. She is a graduate of Indiana University and completed her master’s degree at Indiana State University. She also earned her administrator’s degree from ISU. Mrs. Craig is national board certified as a principal mentor. She has taught at St. James, Westside Catholic School and Resurrection. She also substituted in the Diocese of Evansville for 14 years and taught all age levels. She has been married to her husband, Gary, for 36 years and they have two sons and two grandsons. Amy Bender (Vice Chair) - Amy has been a member of Corpus Christi Parish for 10 years. She has two children who attend Corpus Christi School. Cain is in 7th grade and Nolan is in 1st grade. Amy is an active volunteer at the school, and donates her time several times a week. She also cantors monthly at the Saturday evening mass. Her work experience is in customer relations and sales. Mark S. Brust - Mark and his wife, Nancy, have been members of Corpus Christi for 6 years. They have one daughter, Sydney, a 6th grader at Corpus Christi. Mark is a member of Corpus Christi Men’s Club. He is currently serving his second year on the Education Commission. Mark was on the design committee for the Evansville Ronald McDonald House. Mark is a degreed, Heating, Air, and Refrigeration Heat Transfer Technician. He also attained a degree in Mining Technology and Ventilation. He is employed as General Manager of Ray’s Heating and Air Conditioning where he has worked for 13 years. Mark is also President of Frosty Mountain Ice, LLC of Evansville. Karen L. Hinderliter (Teacher) - Karen, her husband, Keith, and son, Brad, have been members of St. Philip Church for 25 years. They have two daughters, Shanna Messersmith and Audrey Niemeier, who with their spouses and children, belong to Corpus Christi Church. Karen graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Elementary Education. Karen is a member of the Marketing Committee on the Education Commission, volunteers for many local charity events and serves on several committees for CCS. She has been teaching in Catholic schools for twenty years and is in her 19th year teaching kindergarten at Corpus Christi. She enjoys spending time with her family, teaching kindergarten, working out at the gym and reading. Andrea L. Halbig – Andrea and her husband, Mike, have been members of Corpus Christi for five years. They have three children; Warren, a 2nd grader at Corpus Christi, Kate, a Kindergartner at Corpus Christi and Oliver who is three years old. Andrea is co-leader of the Corpus Christi Daisy Scout troop, serves as the yearbook advisor for Corpus Christi, is a member of the Corpus Christi Booster Club and is chairperson of the Corpus Christi Olympic Games. Andrea is a stay-at-home mom and runs her own business, SnickerDoodle Kids. Andrea Mann - Andrea and her husband, Miles, have been members of Corpus Christi Church for 20 years. They have three children. Lindsay is a junior at Middle Tennessee State University where she is in the School of Nursing. Daniel is a senior at Mater Dei, and Jack is a 6th grader at Corpus Christi. Andrea has a degree in Marketing from the University of Evansville and is a Media Specialist in the Marketing Department of Old National Bank. She has been an active volunteer at Corpus Christi and is on the Board of Trustees for Mater Dei. Jeff Martin – Jeff and his wife, Donna, have been members of Corpus Christi for 18 years. Donna is the Librarian at Corpus Christi School. They have two daughters; Natalie, a licensed cosmetologist at Salon WOW in Evansville, and Lauren, an 8th grader at Corpus Christi. Jeff is a past Chairperson for the Corpus Christi Parish Council, a member of Corpus Christi Men’s Club, serves on a parish grounds crew team, sings in the Corpus Christi Choir and is a member of the Knights of Columbus local 565. He is currently serving on the Education Commission and chairs the Employee Recognition and Development sub-committee. Jeff, who has an MBA from USI, has been employed by Mead Johnson Nutrition for over 23 years and currently manages Retail Customer Operations for the North America Distribution team. Shari Seitz (Teacher) - Shari teaches 6th and 7th grade Math, 8th grade Algebra, and 6th grade Language Arts. She completed her education degree in 2004 at the University of Southern Indiana and has taught at Corpus Christi since 2005. Shari holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and master’s degrees in Business Administration and Education. She was born and raised on the west side of Evansville attending Resurrection, Mater Dei, and the University of Southern Indiana. Her family joined Corpus Christi parish in 1995. She enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, Ed, and her children, Lauren, Kyle, and Matthew. Nina Schultheis – Nina and her husband, Brad, are long-time parishioners. They have two daughters who are both students at Corpus Christi. Caroline is in 6th grade, and Elise is in 4th grade. Nina is a Eucharistic Minister, Booster Club volunteer and Junior Girl Scout assistant leader. She is also a past at-large member of Parish Council and serves as chair of the Marketing Committee for Education. Nina is a Corporate Communications Specialist at Old National Bank where she has worked for five years. Karen Wargel – Karen has been a member of Corpus Christi Church for 23 years. Her three daughters have attended Corpus Christi and Mater Dei High School. Karen is a past co-chair of BINGO for the Summer Social. Over the years, she has served as Booster Club Treasurer and Education Commission Chairperson and currently serves as Secretary. Ann M. Wilson – Ann and her husband, Terry, have been members of Corpus Christi for 17 years, and Ann graduated from Corpus Christi as a child herself. They have three sons who graduated Corpus Christi; Tom, now at the Einstein College of Medicine in NY in his first year of medical school; Bob, a junior at Purdue University studying Biomedical Engineering; and Joe, a senior at Mater Dei planning to study pre-med at Purdue University. She is a member of Women’s Club and is a Eucharistic Minister. Ann, a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, is employed by the Vectren Corporation and is the HR Employee Program Administrator and Wellness Coordinator. | |
